“Fair is foul and foul is fair” the meaning behind this quote is that bad is good, and good is bad. How can Macbeth be a bad person if he is a trustworthy person Macbeth was a respected general, a devoted husband, a good friend and he was loyal to the King. However three witches made an appearance that change Macbeth’s life the witches in inform him about the prophecies this is where Macbeth ambition started to grow Lady Macbeth influenced Macbeth to perform evil actions she forced him to deceive many people his actions make him feel guilty and changes the way he acts and responds usually. How did Macbeth become a deceiver? He became someone that he is not.

The three witches had played a part in deception they deceived Macbeth they gave Macbeth predictions of his future that might not been accurate. The witches force Macbeth to deceive people who are close to thin. The prophecies the witches confessed to Macbeth could have been lies to test how he destroys everything around him. The first set of prophecies that the witches reveal to Macbeth in act 1, scene 3, stated that Macbeth was to become Thane of Glams, Thane of Cawdor and finally be crowned king. They also said, "Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none." (Act 1 scene 3 line 68) Macbeth was in shocked when the first two prophecies came true.
