Ludwig van Beethoven is one of the most influential composers of history. He has inspired many musical pieces even since his death and continues to do so. One of the most important feats he accomplished was to continue to compose music even through difficult setbacks.
The exact day of Beethoven’s birth is not known. However, in the customs of his time a baby was baptized the day after its birth. There are formal records showing he was baptized on December 17, 1770. Due to this it is assumed that he was born on the sixteenth of December. Beethoven, however, even presented with documents of his baptism, claims to has been born two years later in 1772. 9 is a very complex and diverse piece. The dynamics in the song are as wide ranging as it gets, containing moments of very loud burst using forte, mezzo forte, and fortissimo. What makes it very interesting though is that it also contains many sections with very soft and medium parts. It is not contained to one tempo either, although most of the time it stays around a moderate tempo. It contains uses of articulation such as staccato and accents. In the song it uses an orchestra, from listening I picked up several different instruments. I heard uses of flutes, clarinets, and bassoon, along with violins, violas, and the bass. From the brass I believe to have heard to trumpet but cannot identify what else. I did enjoy this piece because It is very lively and complex and overall, fun to listen to. Many people do not truly appreciate classical music because they forget it can be very entertaining. I also enjoyed the use of flutes since that is an instrument I can play myself, I always identify it first. I have always loved Beethoven because of the way he preserved and composed music although nearly
