Johann Sebastian Bach is a German composer of the Baroque-era. He was one of the most celebrated members of a large family of northern German musicians. He was a organist, harpsichordist, and an organ builder. Bach had composed many songs. Two songs that are well known of his are Toccata in Fugue D Minor and Mass in B Minor. His music is considered a prestigious lineage. Now a days Bach is considered as one of the greatest composers.

Buxtehude was famous for his ornamented style of playing the organ. In 1707 Bach became an organist at different church called Blasiuskirche in Mühlhausen and he married his cousin named Maria Barbara. A year later Bach’s first work, a cantata Gott ist mein König, for a ensconce in new Mühlhausen town council. His career there was okay but he resigned that summer after getting a better paying post of court organist to Duke Wilhelm Ernst of Weimar. About 6 years later the duke gave him a position as a concertmaster, but at that time Bach was also considering taking a position in Halle. 3 years later Bach actually took the the position as a concertmaster but his request for release was denied by Wilhelm Ernst and he was imprisoned for a month before being allowed to leave.
In the late 1740’s Bach began to be ill and suffered many things. He had a cataract that slowly darkened his vision. An operation in 1749 that was performed with unrefined tools of the time that almost made him go fully blind. It has been said that Bach’s vision came back in the mid 1750’s but he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and a few days later Bach died. Bach’s last work was, Die Kunst der Fuge, that was made to show the range and depth of counterpoint but remained unfinished.
