Victor’s family was the first place where love was found among people. Later, the cottagers also displayed love between family. It is evident how important family is to Shelley when getting the love we need. Children have their first encounters with love inside of a family. They are loved and cared for by their parents, grandparents, and siblings. If a child is denied intimacy as in infant, they often have psychological problems when they are grown up. The love that one is taught within a family affects them for the rest of their lives and impacts how they treat love in other relationships as they grow up. Experiencing good love within a family is essential to living a loving and happy life.Shelley showed us that we cannot create love. After Victor lost his mother, he was lost himself. He desperately wanted her back in his life, he wished to bring her back from the dead. His drive to create love and life, led him to create the monster and ruined his life. Once a loved one is gone, there is nothing we can do to bring them back. Instead, we must find love in other people or in other aspects of life. We cannot create love, love finds its own
