It is a common notion that children are too young and immature to comprehend certain things however this article demonstrated otherwise. In fact children are often able to deal and understand things better than adults sometimes. The article notes that children understand a great deal and are engaged with the world around them (Moloney ,222). This was demonstrated numerous times in From Bombs to Books as the children themselves came from all different parts of the world and experienced many things that many adults could not even imagine. I found this article helpful as it discussed how the story Alice can be perceived differently by children and adults (Moloney, 216). When I first read this I thought back to my own experiences and how when I revisit something from my childhood I discover things that I missed as a young child and often it makes me look at things from a different perspective. I often find a deeper meaning to an image or text that I completely missed as a child. After reading the annotation, I stopped for a second and really thought about Starr’s book on a deeper level. The book itself includes children’s voices however it is written by and adult for adults to read. This made me question why the book was in this format and if possible could it be turned into something that could be read by children? If so, would any changes need to be
