I was expected to be a boy when my mom was pregnant but ended being a girl. This left me with all toys and clothes considered to be geared for boys. This left me with a tom boy-ish attitude and a hatred of all things considered girly. During elementary I would hang out with the boys and avoid the girly games as if they were infested with cooties. The boys helped fuel the flame of my hated towards girly things. I was convinced any career a girl was expected to have was lame and weak. I wanted to become a truck driver like my dad and not a bus driver simply because my mom was a gu I considered to be girly. I was influenced both by my parents and the school and it made me feel as if my choices were limited but I managed to push through that stage and realize how childish I was
