Lincoln High School presents a common challenge faced by many schools today. With the constant change of leadership, combined with the changing community, several problems can be overwhelming to the most seasoned administrator. The creation and implementation of a new vision and mission for the school are necessary. All students should be held to high academic and behavioral standards with the aim of becoming a productive citizen of their community. With the collaboration of local businesses, community leaders, parents, and school faculty, we will develop a leadership team that will successfully implement, revisit, and revise our school improvement plan. It is important to examine everything that is done in our school. Educators and school staff will need to receive professional development that is continuous for the school to function effectively in a highly diverse environment. Professional development would need to include both academic and school climate issues. Every teacher must realize that all students have the ability to be successful. Since the community of the school has changed, the mindset of the faculty may also need to change. A partnership with local businesses and community leaders could provide us with the necessary resources to host a school-wide Clean-Up Day. Administrators, teachers, faculty, parents, students and others from the community would join to complete necessary cleaning projects around the school. This would provide multiple opportunities for the development of pride in our school. Local businesses would have the opportunity to donate time, money or resources to assist our efforts. Parents and students would gain a sense of accomplishment, having the opportunity to work together with each other for a common
