Kotter's 8 Step Change Model: Removing Obstacles Of Change

The obstacles of change can be overcome by forming a team of employees with influence to help remove the negative resistance to change. According to Kotter’s 8-step change model, in step five you have to put in place the structure for change, and continually check for barriers to it. Removing obstacles can empower the people you need to execute your vison, and it can help the change move forward. In my last line of work, I was a Soldier for 23 years, and when an organization need change the best way to make that change was to bring in someone who understood role in making the changed and knew how to make it happen.
