In order to reduce the “unfair” burden that the unemployment compensation taxes are levying on Hilton Company, I have a few suggestions for Kermit Stone. To begin, decreasing the turnover rate for the company would be greatly beneficial. If the cause of turnover is unknown, an investigation should be conducted to discover the cause of employees leaving the company; examples include hours, wages, benefits, and working conditions. Additionally, the hiring process could become more selective or more in-depth in order to narrow down the hired employees to individuals who are willing to work a little harder in the first place just to get the job. Once the causes have been discovered, work should then be done in order to correct these issues and
