Hero: “A person who, in the opinion of others, has special achievements, abilities, or personal qualities and is regarded as a role model or ideal.” For me, my hero is my Mother, Keli Banfield. She is intelligent, respectful, responsible, caring, outgoing and honest. She is never afraid to speak her mind if she knows that is what is right. Keli Banfield is and always will be my hero.
Keli was born into an average family. She was an only child for many years. After her parents got a divorce her father got remarried and her half brother was born. When she was around 10 her father died. She didn't really know what to think of this since she was so young. She had to try to push through this tough times that is exactly what she did. So she pursued her dream of going back to college and getting her degree at Western Michigan University. This was very hard for her, she had to drop her kids off at school early in the morning, then go to her morning classes, then she picked up her kids from school, help them with homework and did her own school work, tucked them into bed, went to her night classes, slept for a few hours, and then she repeated this process. Later on she got remarried, graduated college without a problem, and she has even gotten her dream job, because she believed in herself.
Keli has impacted my life in so many ways. She has taught me to always believe in myself and remember that “She believed she could so she did.” Also she has taught me it is okay to have dreams. Another thing is that she has taught me to always help others and do not judge others. Finally she has taught me that if you don't succeed the first time keep trying, because you will be happier with the end result. Keli Banfield is and always will be my
