Aunt Aria Hero

According to the Oxford dictionary a hero is defined as a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. My Aunt displays this definition of a hero by cleaning up the beaches and harbor on the Massachusetts Bay. She does this by giving up her time and resources and going out to volunteer to clean the Bay.
My Aunt Aria lives in Boston, Massachusetts. She immediately went to university when she moved to America and got a master’s degree in Environmental Science. She always had a passion for the environment from as far back as I can remember. Whenever I visited her she was always taking tend to her plants in her green house in her backyard. When she was at the bay with her future wife but girlfriend at the time, she saw that there was a lot of pollution on the beaches and docks, whether that was glass or plastic bottles or dead fish that washed up from the ocean. She decided to make a conscious effort to make the bay a lot cleaner. She and her girlfriend started to volunteer to clean the bay. Every time that they would go out to clean, they would change which area of the bay that they would go to,

Edwards Middle school and Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle school in Boston. She helps with the science and environmental clubs there and also helps clean up the school and the playgrounds.
Aria has been recognized by the city for her volunteer work and she has received a Good Samaritan award. She says that cleaning the bay has been one of the most exciting and rewarding things she has done in her life. Her only regret is that she wished she could've done it sooner.
So, in conclusion that is why my Aunt is a hero. She gives up her time and resources to volunteer to clean up the bay and playgrounds at the middle schools. She helps the community in a big way even though she is one person she is making conscious effort to help fight the ongoing battle of global climate
