The Purpose of life is perhaps the most philosophical question ever asked throughout history and in many religions. Religions like Christianity have provided what they believe is the answer. The different denominations of Christianity may well have different interpretations of the meaning of life, however Christianity does share a common belief, which is to have a spiritual relationship with God. The Bible does not directly inform or specifically outline what the purpose of life, however Christians have elucidated their sacred text in order to gain a simple idea of this. Reincarnation involves the spirit seeking a new attachment to a body and a new life, therefore being reborn into one of the six realms; Human beings, heaven, animal, Asura, hungry ghost and hell. Which realm one enters is determined by their past life, the accumulation of positive and negative actions and the severity of ones karmic actions. However Buddhists believe that these realms are not permanent, so it can be said that life for Buddhists merely continues but in other forms. The Buddha has accepted the doctrines of reincarnation, karma and the main goal to escape the cycle of life and death. This has become the supreme aim for Buddhists, to obtain the nirvana or enlightenment. Nirvana is the final state of liberation from the cycle of reincarnation, therefore ending all suffering. This illumination can only be acquired through the extinction of desire, purity of life and the right aspiration. The Buddha reiterates this saying, When a man has both meditation and wisdom, he is indeed close to nirvana. (The Dhammapada Gautama Buddha). Muslims believe that a persons death would only mean the end of their earthly life, however the soul will continue existing in a transformed physical existence in the after life. Death is rather the period of rest leading up to day of resurrection, when Allah will judge the living and the dead. It is a common belief by Muslims, that one day Allah will destroy everything on earth and on the same day the dead will rise and all will face judgment. This day is referred to as The day of Resurrection, The Day of Judgment or the Last Hour. It is on this last day where Allah will balance the good deeds and the bad deeds of every person based on the life they lived. As is written in their holy text, “And to every soul will be paid in full (the fruit) of its deeds; and Allah knoweth best all that they do”. Surah 39:70. If the good deeds outweigh the bad then that person will go straight to paradise, whereas if the bad deeds outweigh the good deeds then they will be sent to hell. Followers of Islam aim to live a good life since their ultimate goal is to encounter Allah in the afterlife, just as it preaches in Quran 10:56, “He gives life and causes death, and to him you will be
