Jewish resistance took on different forms. Physical resistance by the partisans was something that hurt the Germans. Spiritual resistance may not have affected the Germans and their collaborators directly, but it was important to the Jews, since the Nazis wanted to take away their dignity and self-respect. Most Jewish resistance to the Nazis focused on rescue, escape, aid to those in hiding, and spiritual resistance. Mostly all of the camps served as hospitals after the jews were liberated. There were a lot of acts of sabotage against their Nazi oppressor. Partisan means a member of an organised body of fighters who attack or harass an enemy, especially behind enemy lines. They fought to not get eliminated by the germans. At one of the camps, 55 were able to escape, only 33 were killed. They had to live in the forests, having to sleep on pine needle ground. They were dealing with friendly and unfriendly patients that would come in to the refugee camps. Jewish Partisans committed thousands of acts of sabotage, allowing a lot of jews to escape freely.
