There has been a lot of talk about if Jesus really did arise from the grave. Well as Christians, we know that for a fact that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. However, there are some people that look for evidence outside the Bible. There is in fact evidence of the Resurrection and death found outside the Bible. Jesus’ death on the cross and his resurrection was prophesied for a little over 2000 years before everything took place. Since sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, God sent a promise: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” - Genesis 3:15. This was the very first promise God sent to the world. In Luke 24:7, we are told this: “The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” This is how the events on that Holy Week were to be carried out. Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, betrayed Jesus, and handed him over to the officials. He was then crucified under Pontius Pilate on Good Friday. Jesus then rose from the dead early on Sunday morning, leaving an empty tomb. Jesus made appearances to the Mary Magdalene and to the disciples. This is what took place, but some people do not believe that it is true.
