Amanda, How exciting it must be to be learning how to interpret the scriptures just as you are beginning to read them. As a student at Liberty University I am delight to see how every class refers us back to God's word. Understanding the importance of the historical context of the scripture when we interpret God's message will be of so much value. In todays society everything must be relevant right now. Gods word is always fitting today, and yet we must search out the meaning it held for the people at the time that it was written to fully understand what God is telling us. I love to dig into scripture to discover meanings that are not obvious at first glance and draw me closer to my Savior as he teaches me his ways. I hope that you will enjoy
