Summary
In the article, What is intelligence, Anyway?, Issac Asimov describes about the different levels of intelligence and what intelligence means to him. Asimov suggests that he is very smart because he always scored high on aptitude tests. Asimov gives the example of a car mechanic, who does not have academic knowledge, though has an ability to analyze and to fix the car problems, to illustrates he is not smart enough. Asimov states that he changed his mind about the definition of what intelligence really mean, when the auto mechanic told him a humorous anecdote and asked him a puzzle question.
Asimov concludes by suggesting that intelligence can not be solely measured by aptitude tests and further states that intelligence
