This is 2015 and people are becoming more health conscience. This means they want more control and more sophisticated information concerning how to tailor their own health care plans. This paper will explore the increased usage of mobile health apps, how this affects nonprofit vs profit organizations, the role of financial management staff, and related rules and regulations. "Mobile health, or mHealth, uses mobile technologies as tools and platforms for health research and healthcare delivery. Mobile Health Apps According to PWC (2015), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are preparing to review several mobile health apps. This review comes as no surprise since the digital health companies are releasing new apps regularly to satisfy the consumer demand for them (PWC, 2015). At present this 10 year process has been successful and approximately 100 products have passed FDA review (PWC, 2015). Health consumers have been increasingly health conscience and do not adhere to traditional means of staying healthy. These individuals are demanding more sophisticated clinical healthcare services that are convenient for them (PWC, 2015).
