Those offenders that contain a Class A disciplinary within the last 6 months will not be able to participate due to TDOC policy #505.07. This rationale is used because a disruptive offender will disrupt the group progress and there are consequences for disciplinary action. A background check of each offender will be conducted that includes meeting with case manager to place them in a group with no other incompatible offenders. Incompatible offenders are offenders that can’t be housed or in close setting with each other due to past history that could have been physical abuse. These appendixes were created using a LIKERT scale that I created to gather information of how the offender felt about group work and about his/herself. The evaluation was constructed similar to a self-identity evaluation and how the individual identifies with their self and those around them. The evaluation touches on safety and how the individual perceives safety. This evaluation will be administered prior and at the completion of group.
