Everyone has had the experience of going to the grocery store and seeing that one kid acting up in a disruptive manner the entire time. This can be explained in two ways. A person being known as being distractible is one way and short attention span is the other way, even though some individuals have both (“Attention” 3). Many people can be negatively affected when they are not paying attention but it is more often in others with this disease. This is just another example of how the symptoms challenge people in their everyday lives. Since ADHD has so many problems associated with it many of them are anywhere from huge disadvantages to minor ones. Impulsivity, inattention, and hyperactivity all have disadvantages that follow under each.
