ADHD causes the child to be unable to stay on track or pay attention in class. An ECE that is dedicated to helping the child succeed will be able to help the child stay on task. To avoid distractions try not to place the child near heaters, doors or windows, high traffic areas or air conditioners. ('Teaching Children with ADHD') Reducing distractions around the student can help the child focus on the assignment or lesson being taught.
