This results in a lack of appreciation, respect and warmth that is required in a relationship. Hence, pessimism can harm the relationship with one’s partner. Not only that, most people also prefer to be in the company of those with a positive attitude. Therefore, being a pessimist can make one unpopular among their friends because they are always grumpy and ranting about how unfair life is.
2.2.3 Leads to lack of motivation and loss of opportunities Pessimists are the type of people who do not believe in positive outcomes and this usually leads to a lack of motivation and ambition in an individual’s overall state of mind.
