It was 2 a.m. when I surprisingly awoke from my sleep as my phone rang. A close friend called me to check my social media app on the latest celebrity drama on a popular blog spot called “The Shade Room”. But what was more intriguing to me wasn’t the news I was reading right in front of me but the impact that social media and just technology as a whole had on me.

Imagine waking up one day and all newspapers, books, and anything print related has vanished? Could we blame this on internet alone? Of course not. We as people grow and evolve and so does everything else in life before it reaches its ending of a new era. However, the internet hasn’t died but has come alive in how we communicate in the mass media world.

We know that Mass media is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a larger audience. And although newspapers, magazines, books, and comics have also not completely died out. It has, indeed, taken a drastic change in moving from an era where print was prominent to now moving into the digital age where it is now gained more popularity.
