Interestingly enough there is a sharp increase in the 40 to 49 range away from attention towards Minorities and Immigration (1 representing a lot of attention, 5 representing no attention). This coincides with the literature readings analysis and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s/ Canadian Multicultural policies of 1971. This actually harms the argument that education helps reduce racist attitudes. However opposing reasons could be due to an age difference regarding social awareness and a desensitization to multiculturalism. However a certain conclusion that can be drawn from this analysis is that something occurred in the 1960’s/1970’s that resulted in these changes.
