The topic of my paper is Human Trafficking. I would like to define what it means. According to the dictionary the definition of Human Trafficking means - organized criminal activity in which human beings are treated as possessions to be controlled and exploited (Dictionary #1).
When we talk about human trafficking it is important to note that it affects every part of the United States and every country in the world. Human Traffickers transport people from all over the world to different parts to perform this act and they also send victims to other countries. That is why it is so important for children to be aware of who they are talking to on the internet and try not to build relationships with strangers who make them think they have met a friend and make promises to them.
Human trafficking has two forms, one being sex trafficking where they recruit, transport, and keep a person for the purpose of committing sexual acts and is done by force or coercion where the person is forced to perform sexually and usually they are under age children as young as 5 years old but the children are not over 18 years old.

They have been violated throughout the whole process. Their right to privacy is taken away from them because they usually are bunched up with a lot of people. They don’t have a say so in anything that they do. They don’t have the right to speak. They are told what to do, when to sleep and when they can eat.
There are a lot of myths about human trafficking but one things for sure human trafficking funds organized crime and networks all over the world and is a big money maker. One myth about human trafficking is that they are immigrants, people without identities.
Another one is that they only come from places that are extremely poor and that’s not true, it does play a role but it’s not the whole factor.
