Human Resource Website Analysis Human Resource Management is the process of acquiring, training, appraising, and compensating employees, and of attending to their labor relations, health and safety, and fairness concerns (Dressler, 2013). The primary objective of the Human Resource professional is to balance the needs and goals of both the company and the workforce (Bass, 014). They accomplish this massive task through face to face and electronic interactions. When a company places their human resource requirements on a well-structured web page, it has benefits for both the employee and the human resource professionals.
Office of Personnel Management The Office of Personnel Management provides human resources, leadership, and support to Federal agencies and helps the Federal workforce achieve their aspirations as they serve the American people (OPM, 2014). They have developed a user-friendly website that provides history and overview of the entire performance management process which can be found at http://www.opm.gov/. It is very detailed in many respects as it provides guidance to employees and managers on assessments. It has legal references and an in-depth frequently asked questions list. From the Human Resource perspective, the website appears to be a wealth of information for both the manager and the employee. On the other hand, it lacked links to specific positions, the employee feedback process and guidance to Government Service (GS) employees.
