re·la·tion·ship:

"the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected."

It 's funny how relationships work, right?

I mean, just think about it for a minute. There are over 7 billion people on this planet, yet somehow we can look at someone and it 's just like, "Wow, I like that human being. My atoms are attracted to their atoms and I want them for myself."

Well, maybe it is a bit more complicated than that. Take it from a guy who has spent much of his teen years in countless relationships. & one long term one to say the least. Honestly, the thought of another one is mentally exhausting. I am mentally exhausted. You may think that a relationship is supposed to be the opposite. Yes,

You were in pain. You were having these dreams, these nightmares. You were tired. You were tired of being tired. You wanted it to stop, everything. You just wanted someone to be your beginning and your end. Someone who looks up the world to you. Someone who treats you good. Someone who wouldn 't leave your side. Someone that will protect you, make you feel loved, wanted, and ALIVE. & you get what you waned, finally. That is why you go for it, isn’t it? But in the end, even after all of that, there is still something missing. It 's nothing that 's wrong with them, but something.. something is still missing.. It isn’t who you want it to be, it isn 't how you pictured it, something just feels.. off. You settled. Not saying that it was a mistake, but you were so focused on these things that you didn’t take the time to stop, think, and breathe. Breathe. And that’s when it hits. You don 't need to settle. You don’t need to rely on someone to be your happiness. You need to stop looking for happiness within someone else and find it in the precious little things that are here in life. To enjoy life itself and say you have the ability to persevere as one. As yourself. Me, myself, and I. To say you can find that happiness yourself without feeling like someone has to provide it for you. Yes, one day someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it didn 't work out with anyone else, but stop waiting. Life isn 't about waiting for the storm to pass, life is about learning to dance in the rain. Life isn’t just about finding someone to share it with, it is about learning how you take people and events in your life as either a blessing or a lesson learned. Life isn’t about finding yourself, create yourself. Happiness in life shouldn 't be provided for you. Life is such a beautiful thing that should no longer be taken for granted or seen as something you’ll only get the most out of with someone else. You are strong. You are powerful. You are courageous.

After listening to Serial, a podcast based on the awaiting trial of a high school star Adnan, I believe that he is guilty of killing his, at the time, girlfriend Haemin Lee. First of all, Adnan doesn’t anything specific from that afternoon. If anyone got a call from the police saying that your friend is missing, you would definitely remember every detail of what happened that day because it is not something that you can just forget. Just to add to that, if your friend is still missing the next day, you would go over all of the specifics with the people that youre both friends with to try and put together every piece of the story. So to me, that makes absolutely no sense.…

Connectedness Connection. This is a simple word, but it has great strength. When you think about it anything can be connected or linked to another thing. Somehow at some point two things connect, whether it be through association such as knowing someone who knows someone else or creation such as trees and wood which are connected to my desk and therefore connected to my laptop and me sitting at my desk. In Gilles Deluze and Félix Guattari’s chapter Introduction: Rhizome, along with in Judith Butlers chapter, Violence, Mourning, Politic, the authors mentions a society in which no one is an individual and where everyone is connected and functioning together with no beginning, end, or middle.…

Now I could write this essay like any other, where I start out with a cheesy intro that I found online, some boring information that no one really cares about, and a dumb conclusion that sums everything up. Aren't you tired of the same old stuff? I know I am. So I’m going to make my essay become more alive. Since I want to bring this essay more to life let’s start out by changing some of the names.…

I would have to agree with that notion because sometimes luck is needed in order to become happy. In addition, I also put value and strong importance on friendships and healthy relationships to help me sustain my happiness. As a side note, physical activity and mediation helps me achieve my own happiness because it gives me a sense of mental tranquility. Which I strongly agree that it is also an essential component in happiness. I would like to point out that not all people can be happy.…

“Any Human To Another” Analysis During the Harlem Renaissance, writers used their vast creativity and their influential platforms to introduce an empowered and independent African American persona to the rest of the world. The arts were used to communicate new ideas and foster an unflinching determination to achieve societal amelioration. Drawing great influence from both Reverend Frederick A. Cullen, his foster father and the president of the Harlem chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and his primarily white formal education, Countee Cullen became an untiring advocate of social reform through the arts. He aimed to “to free himself and his art from [the] bonds” (Poetry Foundation) of “racial limitations”…

Don’t worry, you’re one broken heart closer to love; words I’m sure not just women but men as well have heard one to many times. Surely, you’ve all been in love and naive and believe in “love at first sight,” but it’s a worn-out phrase that’s lost all meaning. “I was taking a walk, minding my own business when, BAM! I fell in love,” said no one EVER, so the correct term would be “attraction at first sight.”…

Poetry has been a part of my life from a very young age. I always enjoyed writing poetry at home in journals, filling the pages with my thoughts and feelings, which became beautiful through elegant words and lyrical phrases. Poetry was a space for me to turn anything I could not express into something people would not only listen to, but also enjoy. Poetry was a way for me to feel like I could tell the world about myself without burdening them with actually listening to me talk about myself; even as a young girl I felt that my story was not worthy of being told organically, it had to be something creative and unique to be worthy. Despite writing poetry, I did not enjoy reading poetry for the most part, however that changed when I came across slam and spoken word.…

“The Husband’s Message” is a tale recounted by a wooden rune-staff that has runes inscribed on it. It tells the story of a man forced to leave his homeland and after time he is able to send an encoded message to his wife requesting her to join him. The poem alludes to the origin of the rune-staff in which carries the message to the wife but exemplifies the failure of communication as she does not understand the runes carved into the staff. The incomprehensible message thus presents the text as a frame for the runes, giving context that allows for interpretation. Through the analysis of this poem, the use of the runes can be observed in a parallel fashion to the modern production and provide insight into the encoding process.…
