Agamemnon, son of king Atreus and Queen Aerope. He’s the King of Argos, husband of Clytemnestra, and the leader of the Trojan Army. Though, Agamemnon is king and has huge power and social placement, he is not necessary the most qualified for the task, and he was born to a role greater than his potential. Agamemnon is the older brother of Menelaus, whose wife Helen was taken by a Trojan prince, which caused a decade long war. Agamemnon is a great warrior, but he is weak; he overreacts. No one wants those kind of traits in a great ruler. Agamemnon appears alot so far in the Illiad as a passionless husband and arrogant king. He fails to realize that a ruler must not surrender
