Graham Greene is the author of “The Destructors” he wrote this story to catch the reader's attention. The story is Ironic showing how the destruction is allegedly a form of creation. The author uses Irony in this story to show more about what is going to happen or what is suppose to happen in the story with all the different characters. For example we think ahead of the story we assume or think what is gone happens next. Irony is like a joke told in a story it is suppose to be funny to one character and be offence to the other character. Even though the other character is laughing he or she doesn't mean to be offence. Irony is also disagreements that happen in the story and what is expected to actually happen.
