How Did Buck Survive In The Call Of The Wild

If you were born and raised in California then suddenly sent to the Yukon would you survive? The Call Of The Wild is a book about Buck, a dog born and raised in California. That is suddenly kidnapped and sent to the Yukon. Buck then battles the call of the wild. Buck learned to survive primitive well he was in the Yukon. He learned this all from his ancestors.

Throughout the book Buck learned to become more primitive. Doing this buck found it easier to survive the primitive ways. Well buck was just learning to toil in the traces he also had to learn how to survive. So to learn to survive, he watched the other huskies and took after his husky ancestors.“He learned to bite the ice out with his teeth when it collected between his toes,and when he was thirsty and there was a thick scum of ice over the water, he would break it by rearing and striking it with stiff forelegs” (London,27)When Buck learned to bite the ice between his toes or break the ice to get water. And not a hundred percent wild. During Bucks survival, he found himself usually very tired at the end of the day. When Buck slept near the fire, he saw a caveman on the other side.“And beyond that fire, in the circling darkness, Buck could see many gleaming coals, two by two,always two by two,which he knew to eyes of great beasts of prey.”(London,50)When Buck slept by the fire he always saw that caveman. The cave man always was scared of the dark and the wolves and other animals. So after a while, Buck dreamed with him and the caveman and this showed primitive of when man and dog became friends.
