Hospice Nurse: As a role it does not really improve health status yet the role improves the quality of life through pain management. The hospice nurse also improves the quality of the lives of the loved one of the client they are supporting.
School nurse: As a role the school nurses touches many lives on a daily basis. She has a huge impact on the health of the children at her school. Hospice nurse: Advocacy, the hospice nurse must use this intervention to plead someone case weather it adding more pain meds or giving oxygen to make the client more comfortable. Counseling, establishing a relationship with the client and family to help them cope with what is happening. Case management, coordinates what the families needs are to get the services they need.
School nurse: Advocacy, acts as a child advocate, goes to IEP meets when appropriate to request services for the child who need them. Policy enforcement: enforces government or school policy about the health and safety of children. Collaboration: collaborates with others in the school to achieve health standards the school has set.
