The top three colleges I chose are Hinds Community College, Mississippi State University, and Alcorn State University . Hinds is my first choice because I visited Hinds’ Nursing Allied Health Center on one of my various CDC field trips and I was amazed. I was shown how to be prepared for CPR, how to read the blood pressure machine, and just learn about all the programs they have to offer. I actually did plenty of .research on nursing and I think Hinds is just the place for me . The mission of Hinds Community college is to offer high quality education for career programs, academic college transfer programs, going back to school programs, and dual enrollment programs .They also offer online classes if you cannot attend school in person .The tuition …show more content…
So one day I visited their campus in Starkville, Mississippi. I also researched the website to learn about the college. When I visited their campus I just knew I wanted to be involved in some kind of way .MSU have a lot of extra curricular to offer such as softball, tennis, golf, cheerleading, football, and many more. I was told that this was a very good college if you want you want to fall into the field of nursing. Mississippi state university have a good atmosphere to be around. My last choice is Alcorn State University because its so far away from home but they have a excellence nursing program. I like their football team that’s another reason why I want to go there . Their tuition is 22,034 which will cover books, board, fee, and personal expenses . My other aunt went to Alcorn and told me about her experiences and how she enjoyed college there. Alcorn is my backup college if I don’t get into Hinds or Mississippi State . College is very different than high school its very challenging and requires a lot of hard work to succeed .For freshman year I see myself passing all my classes with straight A’s

The Emory School of Nursing values social responsibility and collaboration, striving to transform nursing and provide healthcare within diverse communities together. These values align with my own, as I have learned by giving patient care and building therapeutic relationships with numerous populations that we are all capable of caring for one another, regardless of where we are from or what our background is. At Emory, I will have the opportunity to attend school and work close to home with not only organizations like BPSOS, but also with the women and children refugee community in Clarkston, Georgia. Emory nursing would provide me with the resources I need to achieve an excellent education in the healthcare field and guide me in continuing to follow my dream, granting me the opportunity to provide care to the underserved population as an advanced practice…

One community of interest that will be included is the State Board of Nursing. On thing for sure, before starting a new nursing program, it is imperative to verify with the State Board of Nursing that the school is accepted and that the future nursing students are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become licensed in his/her state. It would be frustrating to discover that one can’t acquire nursing license after graduating from nursing school. Another key point to remember is to investigate if the school is accredited by the regional accreditation bodies or by the national accreditation bodies such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) AND Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing…

I have had a lifelong passion for environmental issues that arose from a childhood spent amongst mountains, canyons, islands, and rivers. The Anacostia River near my home is dubbed “The Forgotten River,” for it has been transformed by neglect. It was integral to my childhood—my family canoed on the river, my crew team practiced on it, and my Eagle Scout project involved rehabilitating one of its wetlands. The river showed me that environmental issues are complex, involving science, social justice, politics, economics, and history. From a young age, I was stunned by my city’s apathy and saw a change that needed to occur.…

An event in my life that will influence my academic goals at CCU was the passing of my mother on 09/16/2015. She passed so suddenly that we weren’t prepared, neither mentally nor financially. We didn’t know how we were going to pay for her services but God allowed generous people to be moved to donate to our memorial fund. We reached our goal and then some and it was just so inspiring, I felt God was with me and my siblings every step of the way. When she passed God gave me His peace and allowed me to grieve supernaturally quickly.…
