On thing for sure, before starting a new nursing program, it is imperative to verify with the State Board of Nursing that the school is accepted and that the future nursing students are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become licensed in his/her state. It would be frustrating to discover that one can’t acquire nursing license after graduating from nursing school. Another key point to remember is to investigate if the school is accredited by the regional accreditation bodies or by the national accreditation bodies such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) AND Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
