CCU Reflective Essay

We reached our goal and then some and it was just so inspiring, I felt God was with me and my siblings every step of the way. When she passed God gave me His peace and allowed me to grieve supernaturally quickly. God told me that my mother would be healed, and she was, in a greater way than I could have ever imagined. During the time between my mother’s passing and my decision to finally pursue a degree in an area I was called …show more content…
I know now that when you fully trust God you cannot fail! I am ready to move forward full force. If God be for me, who can be against me? I Trust that moving forward I will have the backing of God, my family, and the tools provided by CCU to get me to where I need to be. I am Excited about what I will go on to do after I graduate. I plan on opening my own Church and a non-profit organization. I have not explored all of the other career opportunities, but I am sure a CCU counselor will go through all of the career options I will have once I receive my B.S. in Organizational Leadership. My goals at CCU are to stay on track and successfully learn the skills needed to lead a church. With the other schools I enrolled in, I had a very difficult time learning and retaining what I was taught, because I just wasn’t passionate about what I was learning. I had not been called to be in healthcare administration, I had been called to ministry. I realize now that no amount of stalling would have helped fill the void and emptiness I felt while I was attending those other schools. I hope to be one of the best students at

Throughout high school, I have been involved in many activities. I started off with the STEM academy in my high school. In the STEM academy, we held special events that teach people, especially kids, about new experiments and science-related careers. I helped out the STEM academy by explaining people about the experiments, the purpose behind the experiments and cleaned or organized lab equipment. I was a part of the STEM academy for approximately three years in high school and I really enjoyed it because I knew I could make a difference in my community.…

Learning to write When I attended elementary school, part of the curriculum was penmanship. There was a certain segment of instruction dedicated to penmanship rather than writing. We were given large sheets of oat colored paper with three parallel lines widely spaced. The alphabets were used to print and write in cursive using the midpoint, and upper lines for capital letters. The handwriting grades were based on neatness and readability.…

When it comes to understanding yourself and your personality on a deeper level than normally, you must take personal stories into perspective that have shaped your life while growing up. According to McAdams, “defining oneself through a personal story is an act of psychological and social responsibility” (Engler 2009). Psychological and social responsibility relate to how you act onto actions around you and how you tie society into your viewpoint of the world. In other words, explaining yourself through a story can show several things such as how your emotions played an affect, the type of response you displayed to something that happened, and as well as the lessons you learned through a personal but also social aspect. In addition, McAdams…

How I plan to teach Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students, is to use what I have learned in EDU 305 as a guideline to apply what has been taught in class and use it for my students in the future. Ideally, I would like to teach at high school level in South Korea. I also find that helping CLD students who are learning English as their second language also fits for what I plan for the future.
