Throughout time there is many innovations and ideas that have changed the way of life and even society as a whole. These innovations have both improved and sometimes even worsened our lives. But how do we know what is good and what is bad? How is someone supposed to decide what makes life better and what damages it because of new inventions?Since the discovery of genetically modified foods, there has been research and numerous arguments over whether it is something that is revolutionary and can help all of society or if it is a horrible idea and goes completely against the laws of nature.The process of creating gmos is both dangerous and harmful to society and of humanity 's health in the future. Recently many new innovations and discoveries have taken place, but one of the most recent is creating genetically modified organisms. This is done through genetically engineering organisms and more specifically, foods. According to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, “ Genetic engineering is the process of manually adding new DNA to an organism. The goal is to add one or more new traits that are not already found in that organism” (UNL). This idea of adding and subtracting DNA in an organism can change the appearance of an organism and even the over all way an organism operates.
