Gmo Persuasive Speech

Take some time to look around, focus and pick out your daily life activities that fill up most of your time. I’m positive eating came to mind because it is a daily occurrence in not only your life, but in every other organism’s life you are surrounded by. Our bodies need sufficient supplies of food that provide us with nutrients and when we consume food, we fill our desire by eating what we are surrounded with. This leads me to the very debatable topic that has arose over the history of our supply of food, GMO’s. I, Whitney Groote, a student from George-Little Rock, will inform you on why I believe GMO’s are helpful rather than harmful with various reasons as to why I believe this and have the goal of persuading you or making you believe further, that GMO’s are genetically modified safe foods, improve our lives, and give our world a future to look forward to. …show more content…
Neil deGrasse, an Astrophysicist, reminded everyone that practically every food within their sight in the environment of grocery stores are genetically modified foods. These are foods everyone buys with the plan of consuming on a regular basis, including GMO activists who swear it is harmful and unneeded. Yet, their biggest fight is against the genetic modifications and all they need to realize this isn’t worthy of a debate, is a basic understanding of life. All foods and animals that we eat have been cultivated and changed throughout history and the words of evolution and artificial selection usually describe this process. The words ‘Genetically Modified’ seem to put others on edge but it is simply artificial selection but in a lab.
