Gary Ridgway was arrested in 2001 for four murders. He later confessed to killing at least 70 women along Route 99 in south King County, Washington State throughout the 1980’s and the 1990’s. He avoided the death penalty by providing detailed confessions and leading police to the dumping sites of his victims, five whom he dumped in the Green River. Gary Ridgway would bring many of his victims to his home strangled them, and then left them in woodsy, remote sites. His first victims were found near the Green River. Gary Ridgway’s victim’s ages ranged from 12-38. There were 10 different sites where bodies were found. At the Green River there were 5 victims, ages 16, 23,31,17,16 and 19. At Star Lake there were 6 victims, ages 23, 16, 17,17,18,15.
