Gameday Chipotle Research Paper

Pregame meals are an important part of most sports fans’ gameday routine. My routine involves eating a Chipotle burrito bowl in front of my television prior to Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey games. I do this in good faith that my routine will lead the Bolts, as they are dubbed, to victory. Gameday Chipotle just seemed to fit because after all, hockey is a sport full of superstition and protein-crunching athletes.

By 6:30 on Saturday evening, I was ready. I had my Chipotle in front of me and the television was turned on to Fox Sports Sun just in time for Lightning Live Pregame. I was ready for my Chipotle habit to lead us to victory.

The game was rough. Plays were sloppy. The players on both benches were chippy with gloves dropping and fists
