In section 3, GSM system architecture is discussed briefly. Section 4 describes the DSP implementation constraints. The proposed architecture KISS 16V2 is discussed in section 5. Furthermore, its performance in evaluated in section 6 and then the results are concluded in section …show more content…
NSS contains Mobile Switching Centre (MSC), Gateway MSC (GMSC), Home Location Register (HLR), and Visitor Location Register (VLR). Mobile Switching Centre (MSC) coordinates setup of calls to and from GSM users. It controls several BSCs. Gateway MSC (GMSC) is a gateway to external network. The incoming call is routed to GMSC, which then determines MS location. Home Location Register (HLR) contains information about subscribers, e.g. subscriber profiles. Visitor Location Register (VLR) temporarily stores subscription data for subscribers. It contains more precise location data than does the HLR. [6] AUC is a database that provides HLR and VIR with authentication parameters for security purposes. The OSS main unit is responsible for Network operation and maintenance such as subscriber data management, call charging, and mobile equipment management and so
