Get Gussied Up: A Case Study

Having Get Gussied Up as my community partner has made me realize how important it is to distinguish the different audiences and understand how to communicate with specific audience members. A business could not be successful without proper communication with customers, employees, and business partners. With the help of manager, Haley Spreen, I have analyzed the messages, methods, and visuals of Get Gussied Up. Get Gussied Up and its employees focus on making sure they communicate to their different audiences properly. To do this, businesses must know how to adjust messages, methods, and visuals to specific audiences. Get Gussied Up’s different audiences require special forms of communication. Communication can depend on wether you're talking to customers, employees, and business partners. Manager, Haley Spreen, says primary communication is through the phone. More specifically texts or phone calls. Haley says business would not be as successful without it. Phones are an important communication tool because it can be used to reach all audiences. It is the business’s goal to get the customers to buy Get Gussied Up’s merchandise so the use of persuasion is also important. However, employees must be careful that they are not over bearing because the customers could get annoyed which would turn away sales. When working in any field it is critical that you talk to business partners politely. You must work appropriately with business partners so that your business can thrive and make a profit. If you are rude to business partners they won’t have any interest in helping your business succeed. Get Gussied Up is known for their well mannered and helpful employees. The store has been given 4.8 out of a five star rating. The owner and manager insist that any employee that is hired treats everyone with high
