Especially in cases like these, one must ask whether this costly education is worth it. This amount of money is excessive, and prompts the question of whether or not college can be changed to be affordable. It is this price of college, and the subsequent debt, which paints a bleak future for those who will ultimately be disappointingly flipping burgers.
The factors for considering whether education is for everyone; the community, the education, and the cost, portrays a hard choice. People have thrived with or without a degree, and people have financially failed with or without a degree. Also, although the campus life can provide positive social interaction, college does not hold a monopoly on it. In other non-coligiate circumstances, questionable parties with possible illegal activity can be more easily skirted, and unfavorable relationships more easily avoided. Also, becuase education is not worth much when you are unemployed, it usually only provides extra debt to pay. When considering the college community, the undependable quality, and the outrageous cost, it is obvious, college is not for
