The discussion of a college education being something everyone should dream to achieve or achieve the dream. College education is something everyone should want but, not everyone should need. It also is not something everyone can afford with rising tuition. Now having a college education is not needed for people who are doing hobby, entrepreneur, or trade professions. Certain jobs and crafts like people’s hobbies can be completed successfully without you ever touching college education. “According to the Department of Labor, as of 2008, 17 million college graduates were in positions that did not require a college education.” (Procon.org) Hobby professions like web design, coding, pottery, floral arrangement, and writing can be done without with a college education since

The cost of tuition is rapidly increasing “average cost for a 4-year degree (including room and board) increased 130% for private schools and 131.4% for public schools from fall 1982 to fall 2012, while median family income increased 10.9%” (Procon.org). If that is not bad enough Statistics show that going to college puts the student in debt and delays the later cycles of life. “In 2013, student loan borrowers delayed retirement saving (41%), car purchases (40%), home purchases (29%), and marriage (15%)” (Procon.org). An argument for a college education is that a college degree is becoming mandatory for a good well-paying job. The problem with that statement is even if they get a well-paying job they are still in so much student loan debt that they will be paying it off when they are over the age of 50 and that student load debt is going nowhere even if they do file for bankruptcy. “60% of people attempting to discharge student loan debt in bankruptcy were unsuccessful. In order to discharge a student loan in bankruptcy, the borrower must prove "undue hardship"
