During the beginning of the story, readers can easily see that Frank is very demanding. For example, He had everything organized from where to be with kids to charts for brushing teeth, weighing themselves, taking baths, and combining hair. Also, Dad insisted that all the kids listen to French and German records while taking their baths; while listening they were to finish their baths by the end of the record. First, Frank would only go to church for christening; and would sit in the car while his wife help with Sunday School and his children were attending it. He also would eat the complete apple core and all; doing to show that he doesn't waste. Lastly, he would blame the teachers for the kid’s bad grades. “He was convinced that the low marks were merely an error of judgement on the teacher’s part. ‘That teacher must not know her business,’ he’d grumble for Mother’s benefit. ‘Imagine failing one of my children.
