There are five forms of oppression presented by Mullaly. The five oppressions are exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, cultural dominance, and violence.

Exploitation is the difference between the wealth created by the workers through their labor power and the actual wages workers get paid. Basically, the “superiors” want to increase profits by lowering wages. Such practice affects minority groups. Marginalization refers to groups being left out of the labor market. The people who suffer the most are the minority groups.
