One day on a cool crisp October day the most awful thing happened to me I never stayed outside after dark ever again. It was the most unexpected thing to ever happen to this small town boy. It was October the leaves were starting to turn the colors of Autumn, I was walking home from school and it seemed fairly normal I was taking my usual route home from school but little did I know that something unexpected would happen to me. I heard footsteps behind me stepping on the unraked leaves “CRUNCH” “CRUNCH” “CRUNCH”. I looked behind me but I saw nobody, Then I start to walk a little faster now and as I walked on I keep hearing the crunching noise getting louder. I was almost a block away from my house when I looked back again and saw a shadowy figure figure slowly approaching me,I couldn’t see his face for it was covered with a big black hat. he was slowly approaching me but I took a shortcut through an alley and got home. I locked the door and the windows and slowly opened the curtains he was out there watching me for about ten seconds and then disappeared in the alley. The next day I was scared to go to school but still did The man was not there that morning but in the evening I had this feeling that somebody was watching me and I did not like it. …show more content…
As I walked home from school the next day he was there he came out from a dark alley as I passed him by. Then I mustered up as much courage as I could and then I turned around and asked him what he wanted he just stood there and breathed very loudly for about fifteen seconds. He looked like he was about to say something he said “you dropped your books a couple of days ago and I have been trying to give it back to you”. “Well thanks for the help man”, he smiled and went on his way to the other side of the road.
