Final Assessment This semester I was able to participate in action planning. I was not quite sure what to expect when I started out, but throughout the semester I learned a lot about myself. I learned how to make a goal that was actually attainable. I also learned what was too much for me to accomplish, as well as how to push myself to work for my goals. Finding that balance was the most important part of action planning. My goal this semester was to learn to cope with my stress. Through action planning I was able to take baby steps to achieve this goal. Learning to cope with stress is a lifetime battle, but I definitely feel like I understand how to deal with my stress better now than I used to. Throughout the semester I learned what worked for me and what did not. Because of this knowledge, I had to tweak a couple things about my action planning as the semester went on. Some of the major changes were adjusting the length and frequency of activities to make it more attainable for me. I discovered that if I had to do the activity for too long, or too many times, it would actually add more stress instead of take stress away. However, if I did something for 15 minutes a couple times a week, it was more relaxing. My favorite part of action planning has been learning how to set a goal and follow through with it. I have never really been good at making goals and sticking with them. I usually do pretty good for the first little while, and then I give up on my goals. However,…
