Sometimes for me boys receive the message that they are dominate in a physical sense or because of the hero role they play that they are needed. They are shown on tv that they are the ones who saves the girls. Not the other way around. Could you imagine more movies that are role reversed. Like the Disney movies that was talked about how the girls are usually the ones resuced and become a reward. Boys and girls are accepted by their gender in most cases because of society and how they place them. Girls are suppose to dress sexier or prettier than males. And as the Disney movies portray females lately, they have personalities and are pretty. Males are suppose to play the hero role to show their athletic and brave.

Why can't a child be based off of there abilities rather than a sex. In the world as we are growing everything is based on sex whether its sports, news, jobs and other things. It seems to me that society needs to know your sex no matter what it is. Its almost a threat. The fact that Storm's parents is letting their child decide on a later date on what they reveal is amazing but at the same time damaging to the child. The con that makes it damaging to me is Storms parents seem to be trying to make a point, with a child that can be looked at differently. Other kids could end up thinking Storm is a freak show and not want anything to deal with it. Leading to rejection from other kids. The idea is great that its based on ability rather than
