Everyday, I am faced with an ethical dilemma. Sadly, this is something that has become a very hard concept to avoid. The life we live in now there are ethical dilemmas everywhere we turn that can cause us to want to abandon our morals and beliefs from doubt. We decide our dilemmas through our worldviews and our worldviews are usually is how we respond to them. My Ethical Dilemma I follow a woman named Susan who is struggling with the decision to abort her child or not.

Richard Dawkins told her that he believed to should abort the child. His belief was that we should not bring more suffering into the world than there already is. He stated that this child would prolong a life full of suffering. This impacted Susan decision because who would want their child to suffer? That caused Susan left with the questions of could she be the correct caretaker for a child with Down syndrome and how bad would her child’s suffering would end up being. These tweets ended up bringing a lot of controversial discussions in about how it is wrong to abort any child. Many were bringing up religious backgrounds to support their thoughts. You are making a choice to become intimate with someone. Everyone should be fully aware that if you want to become pregnant you don’t get the choice to choose what type of child God decides to bless you with.
In the book of Genesis 4:1 it reads, “Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain.” They had the relation and they had a child. The author of Job 3:3 states, “Let the day perish on which I was to be born, and the night which said, ‘A boy is conceived.’” (Beckwith, 1990) In the book of Psalm 139:13, “…. The Lord called me from the womb; from the body of my mother and He named me.” The Lord is the one who calls babies to be in the body of mothers. He is the one who decides to bless people with babies. It is neither a mother’s job nor fathers to decide that this child is not good enough for them so they must abort (Hall, 2005).

The Christian decision would be to keep this child. God did not promise us an easy life. He did promise us love though and this child would bring Susan love everyday. It may cause a life change for Susan but God was blessing her with a beautiful child created by His hands. He sculpted a child to be exactly what she needed and brought it to her to love and
