Who or what really defines evil? Is evil a malfunction of indwelling nature or natural occurrences? Certain circumstances such as catastrophes, plagues, wars, famine even poverty has haunted each and every individual from around the world in different seasons and for many reasons. That is not to say God does not exist, nor does that mean evil does not exist. On the contrary as a firm believer, I believe God allows things to happen not to break us or dismay us. But, rather to open our eyes and see proof that there is good even in evil. If we could so easily attempt to see that through our transgressions, God can still reveal the good in our bad as well as our ugly.
The problem of evil consist of quite a few entities that in most cases involves God and evil (Elwell, 2001 413). Evil is usually always present in our everyday lives, especially when we want to do good. The main question is if good comes from evil (opposite of evil) than where does good come from? As an example, light and darkness are polar opposites of each other, you cannot have one with out the other. However, one may possess more power than the other, if there is more light than darkness does that mean darkness does not exist or vice versa? In biblical literature if Christ dwells in our spirit-man darkness does not abide in our temple. We may feel the urge to be tempted or sit in our indwelling sin. Fortunately, the Apostle Paul clearly states in Romans 7:21, “So I find this law at work: Although I want to do…
