This leadership style is effective in meeting deadlines for projects, especially when employees working on a project and lacks leadership and good organizing (Cherry, 2016). In such situations, a leader who adopts an autocratic style can take charge of the team, assign different tasks to team members. This will establish deadlines for projects to be finished successfully (Cherry, 2016). In addition, this leadership is used in particularly stressful situations, such as during military conflicts. It allows members of the military to focus on executing their specific duties without concerning about making difficult decisions (Cherry, 2016).
