According to Forbes, there are top 10 leadership qualities which are honesty, confidence, commitment, positive attitude, ability to delegate, communication, sense of humor, creativity, intuition and the ability to inspire. However, these qualities should not be the basis of leadership. It is basically about character and competence, what the leader needs to cope with, given constant changes, crashes and crises. Specifically, social entrepreneur’s leader encounters many trials such as many leader doesn’t have any formal business education and were only driven by their passion in solving a social problem. According to the survey and in-depth interview of Shwab Social Entrepreneurs, building a management team, delegation and succession, balancing and integrating and personal and professional development where the four main challenges in the leadership of social entrepreneurs. The book also illustrates and cited some samples of cases from Schwab Social Entrepreneurs. …show more content…
The first one is the typical social entrepreneur. Most of them were age between 42 and 65 which means they are mostly mature. Next is ethical leadership. It means that they are a trustworthy leader and serves as a role model to their employees and enforces a clear objective and goals. They are also empowering and transformational leaders. Autocratic leaders were often described as a dominant leader who shows authority to their employees. They assumed the full responsibility and doesn’t ask any opinions from the employee in terms of decision
